Homebuying reforms explained: Rightmove webinar for estate agents

Nathan Emerson

Rightmove is hosting a webinar today to help estate agents understand the government’s proposed reforms to the homebuying and selling process.

The online session, taking place from 1pm to 2pm in partnership with Propertymark, will examine the recently announced reforms and what they could mean for agents, buyers and sellers.

Propertymark chief executive Nathan Emerson will join the webinar to explain the proposals and answer questions during a live Q&A.

The government unveiled its roadmap for home-moving reform on 19 June, outlining plans to speed up transactions, improve transparency and reduce the number of sales that fall through.

According to Rightmove, the average property transaction currently takes 170 days to complete after a sale is agreed, while 23% of agreed sales fail to reach completion.

The webinar forms part of Rightmove’s training programme for agents and is intended to provide an early overview of the proposed changes while further details of the reforms continue to emerge.

Agents can book their place here.
