If chancellor John Healey’s first Budget isn’t your idea of lunchtime viewing today, estate and letting agents have another option.

While the chancellor prepares to outline his tax and spending plans amid speculation over further tax rises, agents can instead put their business challenges to a panel of industry professionals.

The Estate Agent Consultancy (TEAC) is hosting a free webinar, Work Smarter, Win More Listings, at 12.30pm.

Rather than follow a fixed agenda, the organisers are asking agents to submit their biggest business concerns when registering.

Potential topics include winning more instructions without cutting commission, retaining landlords and improving business performance despite increasing workloads.

The panel will also address questions covering sales, lettings, marketing, compliance and leadership.

TEAC founder Chris Webb will join Rachel Ollington, Ev Foster and Hannah McCartan for the session, hosted by trainer and speaker Toby Martin.

Webb has worked in estate agency for 20 years and written two books on growing agency businesses.

Ollington previously built and sold a lettings agency in Essex. She is also a landlord, property investor and Propertymark ambassador.

Foster is a former agency owner who spent more than six years as operating principal of Keller Williams Scotland.

McCartan ran a Welsh lettings agency for 18 years, during which the business let more than 4,000 properties.

Webb said: “When you register, you tell us your biggest challenge or the question you’d most like answered, and we’ll build part of the session around what comes in.”

The webinar takes place on Zoom at 12.30pm and is free to attend.
