Lewis Hughes, 24, from Romford, East London, has pleaded guilty to assaulting England’s chief medical officer Chris Whitty in central London.

He admitted one charge of assault on Professor Whitty in St James’s Park on 27 June and was given an eight week custodial sentence, suspended for two years and a fine of £307.

Hughes apologised for any “upset” caused and said he had lost his job as an estate agent over the incident.

Jonathan Chew, who was also involved in the incident is further charged with obstructing police when he allegedly gave the wrong name while being arrested, denied the offences against him.

He was bailed to appear at the same court on November 23 for trial.

Good riddance to this piece of rubbish. Never to be employed by the property industry ever again.

He’s admitted he was wrong, he’s apologised and been fined. He’ll likely grow up now and be a better agent because of the lessons he’s learned. The ironic thing is his old boss will be the one  who really loses out; the adult Lewis Hughes has a chance to make amends.
