LRG has combined three of its surveying brands to create a national business operating under the MAP Chartered Surveyors name.
Stirling Ackroyd Surveyors, MAP and Romans were brought together under the single rebrand at the start of July, LRG has announced, consolidating the group’s surveying and valuation services for the first time.
The three businesses have a combined 225 years of trading history, comprising 150 years for Stirling Ackroyd, 40 years for MAP and 35 years for Romans.
The combined operation has more than 50 surveyors working through a regional network across the country.
MAP Chartered Surveyors will continue to serve an existing client base of more than 400 business-to-business clients and 200 lenders, while LRG plans to generate further work through its national branch network.
LRG’s acquisition of Northern Estate Agencies Group late last year is also expected to increase surveying referrals in the north. The deal added 36 branches across West Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester to the group.
The existing surveying management team will remain in place following the rebrand.
Ryan Mathews, group managing director of surveying at LRG, said: “Bringing Stirling Ackroyd, MAP and Romans together under one name is a natural step for us. Each brand has built its reputation on the same things: thorough inspections, sound advice and doing the right thing by the client.
“Nothing about that changes; what does is our scale. Operating as one business, we will complete more than 20,000 inspections on £8.4bn worth of property, supporting clients wherever they are while keeping the local knowledge that good surveying depends on.”
Neil Louth, group executive director at LRG and chief executive of Acorn Group, said the rebrand reflected the growth of the group’s surveying operation.
He added: “For our clients, it will continue to be the same experienced people delivering the same high standards of service, but now with the benefit of national coverage and the resources and expertise of one of the UK’s largest property services groups.”
