Northern Estate Agencies Group appoints head of land and new homes
Northern Estate Agencies Group (NEAG) has appointed Carrie d’Arcy as its new head of land and new homes following the retirement of long-serving colleague Dawn Carroll earlier this year.
D’Arcy joins from Linley & Simpson, where she served as senior land and new homes manager, overseeing the firm’s Land & New Homes division across Yorkshire. She brings more than 14 years’ experience in the residential property sector.
In her new role, she will lead and develop NEAG’s land and new homes division across the group’s estate agency brands Manning Stainton, Ryder & Dutton and Mortimers, all of which are part of LRG.
Her responsibilities include strengthening relationships with housebuilders, developers, landowners and investors, identifying new land opportunities and overseeing sales and marketing strategies for residential developments.
She will also work alongside the group’s 36 branches across Yorkshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Derbyshire to grow new homes sales and increase market share.
Northern Estate Agencies Group operates a 36-branch network across the North of England and forms part of LRG.

loc8me appoints chief operating officer
Student lettings agency loc8me has appointed Wesley Brown as its new chief operating officer as the business continues to expand across the UK.
The appointment follows a period of growth that has seen loc8me increase its portfolio to almost 10,000 student bedrooms across 19 university cities through acquisitions and new branch openings.
Brown joins the business as it focuses on supporting further expansion, integrating recent acquisitions and maintaining service standards for landlords and tenants.
The move comes as the student lettings sector continues to adjust to the Renters’ Rights Act. Earlier this year, loc8me warned that uncertainty surrounding the new legislation was leaving some student landlords at risk of inadvertently breaching the rules.
The appointment is the latest addition to the company’s senior leadership team as it continues to grow its presence in the purpose-built and private student accommodation market.

Savills appoints new director to infrastructure team
Savills has appointed Georgie Harding-Edgar as a director in its infrastructure team.
Harding-Edgar joins from Vattenfall Wind Power Limited, where she worked on onshore market development. She has more than 15 years’ experience advising on major UK infrastructure and energy projects.
She has advised on a range of land matters associated with major infrastructure projects, including land acquisition, negotiations, compulsory purchase, land referencing and Development Consent Order applications.
In her new role, Harding-Edgar will advise clients on the planning and delivery of infrastructure projects across the UK.
She has been a RICS Registered Expert Witness since 2020.
Harding-Edgar said: “Land assembly and consenting are often the biggest risk on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects and I look forward to bringing my experience to Savills’ clients as the pipeline of infrastructure projects continues to grow.”
