Lomond appoints two senior executives

Lomond has appointed Darrell Evans as chief commercial officer and Steve Maddock as chief operating officer as the estate agency group continues its expansion across the UK.
The appointments follow a series of acquisitions, including Ocean in Bristol, FHP Living in Nottingham and City Residential in Liverpool.
Evans will oversee Lomond’s commercial strategy, revenue growth, marketing and lead generation. He will also take responsibility for Lomond Investment Management (LIM).
He has more than 30 years’ experience in financial services and commercial leadership.
His previous roles include chief executive of Benenden Health and chief commercial officer at the Co-operative Bank. He has also held positions at RBS, Direct Line Group and Virgin Money.
Meanwhile, Maddock will oversee Lomond’s operations and technology functions.
He brings more than three decades of experience in operational management and business transformation.
Maddock spent 11 years at Direct Line, including six as chief operating officer. During that period, he worked alongside Lomond’s current chief executive, Paul Geddes.

He also previously served as chair of the Motor Insurers’ Bureau for seven years.
Both executives will join Geddes and the group’s existing senior leadership team.
Geddes said: “Darrell and Steve are two of the most outstanding commercial leaders I have had the pleasure of working with over the past 36 years. With their respective exceptional track records, I am delighted to be calling them colleagues once again, as they come on board at Lomond.”
Evans commented: “Lomond has established a unique position within the UK property sector, and the ambition to deliver outstanding experiences for its customers is one I’m excited to foster and expand upon.”
Maddock added: “Lomond already has an exceptionally strong foundation in place and there’s a clear opportunity to build on it ahead. I’m thoroughly looking forward to working alongside Darrell, Paul and the wider leadership team to power Lomond in this next stage of growth.”
Partridge Homes expands lettings team

Partridge Homes has made its third lettings appointment since May after recording its strongest year for new rental agreements since opening in 2007.
The Birmingham-based estate agency has recruited Katie Fisher as property manager, following the appointments of Nicola Hall and Sarah Bannister.
The expansion comes after the family-run business agreed almost 40 new tenancies in September alone.
Partridge Homes operates across Birmingham, Solihull and surrounding areas.
Fisher previously held a senior role in healthcare before moving into estate agency and lettings with Dixons Countrywide, and later moving on to Green & Co Estate Agents.
Her responsibilities will include preparing inventories, carrying out property inspections and managing communications with landlords and tenants.
Charlotte Partridge, managing director, said: “That growth has to be supported by investment in the right people. Katie is our third appointment to the lettings team since May, and each addition helps us maintain the personal service and attention to detail our landlords and tenants expect.”
Partridge Homes is also planning to launch a residential block management service in January 2027.
The move will expand its existing property management operations.
Nicola Hall, who joined the business earlier this year, brings more than 20 years of specialist experience. She previously worked at Scanlans Property Management.
Partridge said the agency had received enquiries about block management for several years but had delayed entering the market.
“Residential block management is an important next step for us. We have received enquiries over the years from freeholders and leaseholders, but wanted to have the right people and experience in place before launching,” she added.
Wyatt Homes hires two construction chiefs
Wyatt Homes has appointed two senior construction executives as the housebuilder expands into Cornwall and looks to increase its development pipeline.
Jamie Capon joins as construction director, while Joel Anderson takes up the newly announced role of head of construction west.
Capon will oversee construction across Wyatt Homes’ residential developments in Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire and Cornwall. His responsibilities will cover existing schemes and future sites.
Anderson will report to Capon and lead construction activity in Cornwall, where the housebuilder is delivering its first development in the county.
Capon brings 25 years of construction management experience, including senior positions at several national housebuilders.
He previously worked for Persimmon, Taylor Wimpey and Miller Homes.
Most recently, he spent a decade at CALA Homes, where he progressed to construction director.
Capon said: “Wyatt Homes is at an exciting point in its growth, and I was attracted by the high calibre of its homes and the genuine pride in the homes the company designs and builds.
“The addition of Joel brings significant experience to the business and I’m looking forward to working with him and the wider team.”
Anderson joins from Morrish Homes, where he was head of construction. He has 23 years’ experience in housebuilding.
His appointment comes as Wyatt Homes establishes a presence at Nansledan, the Duchy of Cornwall’s mixed-use development near Newquay.
The company is also exploring further development opportunities across Cornwall.
Anderson said: “With my family and I living at Nansledan, it’s particularly exciting to be part of Wyatt’s first project in Cornwall and to help establish and grow its presence in the county.”
Shaun Pettitt, managing director at Wyatt Homes, said the appointments would support the company’s regional expansion.
“Jamie’s construction leadership will strengthen delivery across our growing portfolio, while Joel’s knowledge of Cornwall will be invaluable as we establish our presence at Nansledan and in Cornwall,” he said.
