Savills recruits senior agent from Aston Chase after almost 20 years

Savills has appointed experienced north west London estate agent Simon Rosenblatt as a director in its St John’s Wood residential sales team.
Rosenblatt joins from Aston Chase, where he spent almost 20 years handling prime residential sales and new homes transactions across St John’s Wood and the surrounding areas.
He has worked in the north west London property market for more than two decades, specialising in high-value homes in NW8 and neighbouring prime locations.
During his time at Aston Chase, Rosenblatt was involved in several major residential transactions, including sales that achieved record prices, according to Savills.
In his new role, he will work alongside Stephen Lindsay, head of Savills’ St John’s Wood office, covering residential sales across St John’s Wood and Regent’s Park.
The appointment strengthens Savills’ prime London sales operation, which also includes offices in Hampstead, Marylebone and Primrose Hill.
Rosenblatt said: “I’m delighted to be joining Savills. Its team and position in the market are unparalleled and working alongside Stephen Lindsay, Pete Bevan and the wider team, I’m excited to help take it even further.”
Pete Bevan, co-head of prime central London residential sales at Savills, added: “Simon has an impressive track record and his expertise will be invaluable as we drive forward our St John’s Wood sales business.”
Stonewater appoints new chair following £350m funding award

Affordable housing provider Stonewater has appointed Angus Michie as its new chair, following a £350m funding award to support the delivery of more than 2,300 homes.
Michie took up the role on 1 October, succeeding Sheila Collins, who chaired the organisation for seven years.
His appointment follows Stonewater securing £350m through the Social and Affordable Homes Programme. The funding will support plans to deliver 2,348 affordable homes across its operating areas.
A chartered surveyor with 30 years’ experience in residential development, Michie is managing director of SevenCapital, which develops residential and mixed-use schemes across London, the Midlands and the South East.
He previously spent 25 years working across Berkeley Group’s UK operations.
Michie is already familiar with Stonewater, having served on its board and chaired several committees and subsidiary companies. These include its Homes and Development Challenge and Assurance Panel, Stonewater Developments Limited and Stonewater Commercial Limited.
His appointment also follows Stonewater retaining its Gold accreditation under the SHIFT sustainability assessment scheme, achieving its highest score to date.
Michie said: “The need for high-quality social housing is as urgent as ever. Everyone deserves a home where they feel safe and secure, in a community where they can thrive.
“I’m looking forward to building on the impact Sheila achieved during her tenure and will continue to keep our customers at the heart of everything we do.”
Jonathan Layzell, chief executive of Stonewater, said: “With Angus taking up his role as Stonewater’s new chair, I’m confident his experience, expertise and passion will help us continue to build on our success and the strong legacy Sheila created.”
