Best Estate Agent Guide website launched

The 2023 Best Estate Agent Guide has launched online today with the new site 2023.bestestateagentguide.co.uk allowing consumers to search the best independently reviewed estate and letting agents in their local area.

Agents listed in the guide are rated as the top 20% in the UK and have been independently assessed in a rigorous three-stage process over a six-month period. All agents were measured on a variety of criteria, using data collated from over 4,500 sources via a partnership with property market data specialists, TwentyEA.

Along with the organisers behind the guide, TwentyEA measured the performance of all sales and rental listings during the assessment period, and scored agents on key metrics including the percentage of new instructions in their patch, percentage of properties sold or let, how quickly properties were sold or let, time to complete, fall through rates and percentage of price achieved.

The best performing agencies from this data analysis were then assessed on customer service via a web enquiry, with professional mystery shoppers posing as buyers and renters and also a website assessment, which looked at over 50 criteria covering technical factors such as page download speeds, mobile responsiveness and the number of pages shown in google search results as well as property marketing and customer service.

Sarah Kemp, event director for EA Masters and Best Estate Agent Guide Awards, commented: “The BEAG assessment is the most meticulous and thorough evaluation of all estate and letting agents in the UK. A listing in The Best Estate Agent Guide is a huge achievement and it was fantastic to see so many agents at The EA Masters event last week collecting their awards in person.

“To make the most of the accolate, we’re encouraging agents to purchase a licence enabling them to promote their accomplishment. In addition, we provide a comprehensive marketing toolkit which includes a branded video, logo marques and quarterly marketing campaigns.”

Those who purchase a licence will benefit from an enhanced listing on the Best Estate Agent Guide website and members of OnTheMarket will further benefit from logo marques on their agent profile page.

“This year licence holders will receive the biggest support package we’ve ever created.” said EA Masters founder Peter Knight. “The marketing toolkit includes everything agents need to showcase their achievement throughout the year and create new opportunities within their local market.”

Licences can be purchased here and start at £1,400 for a single branch office.

Any “Guide” that relies on competence instead of character is misleading the public.

We have qualified to be in the guide for sales and lettings, but does £1,400 for the privilege sound expensive?

Have just gone to have a look who is there in my area and hardly anyone is listed. Those that are noted are either in a different area or are not the agents I would trust with my property. Not sure that this site will fly and at £1400 to get my name listed not sure its good value for money either.
