‘The vendor is conducting viewings’

One of our readers was rather surprised to see this Purplebricks’ listing on Rightmove this week.

https://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-69263433.html

In fairness, the listing is dated 22nd March, the day before the lockdown was announced and four days before MHCLG published its guidelines concerning home sales:

Viewings

If your property is already on the market, you can continue to advertise it as being for sale but you should not allow people in to view your property.

There should not be any visitors into your home, and you should therefore not let people visit your property for viewings. Your agent may be able to conduct virtual viewings and you could speak to them about this possibility.

Hopefully the vendor (and all Agents) has caught up with what is going on in the world and is no longer opening the door to potential buyers…

Purplebricks says that they are using video technology to conduct all viewings and valuations until Government guidelines change. And it didn’t take them long to change the wording of the listing after we drew it to their attention.

    Need striking off this lot.

I couldn’t care less about the cheap fee bit… their choice… but some of their advice on Twitter this week has been shocking.

If this is an old listing, how did this become important news of the day……come on, surely…….this lockdown is killing me with boredom.

Not surprised they are still listing.
Purplebricks have just announced to LPE’s that they are to get £100 extra per listing we instruct.
Not sure how they can call that a support package.
What a joke. All while the three musketeers draw their big salaries.
