OneDome has been shortlisted for the Lloyds Scale Up Trailblazer Business of the Year Award and the Vistage Growth Business of the Year Award. Founder and CEO Babek Ismayil has also been named a finalist for the Cazenove Capital Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

The company is one of almost 200 finalists across 20 categories at this year’s Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards.

Founded in 2016, OneDome operates a platform that combines property search, mortgage advice and homebuying services. The company says it now arranges more than $1.4bn in mortgages each month through a network of more than 500 mortgage advisers.

The winners will be announced on 10 November at Grosvenor House in London.

Babek Ismayil, founder and CEO of OneDome, said: “We are very proud to be recognised across three categories. OneDome has grown at an exceptional pace, but we still have more we want to achieve. Our ambition is to the build the platform that transforms how people buy, finance, and own their homes, and these nominations are a great recognition of the progress our team has made towards that goal.”

Amanda Murphy, CEO, Lloyds Business and Commercial Banking, said: “Behind every successful business is a story of ambition, determination and innovation. Inspiring entrepreneurs backing themselves to succeed. That’s exactly what the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards celebrates. OneDome is bringing new ideas, investing in its community and helping drive growth in the UK. They represent the very best of British enterprise and we’re incredibly proud to back them.”

Street Group

Street Group Co-Founders and Co-CEOs Tom Staff and Heather Staff have been named in the inaugural Founder 250 list, compiled by BusinessCloud to recognise founders of UK businesses across sectors including technology, finance, healthcare, retail and manufacturing.

Street Group develops software for estate and letting agents covering sales, lettings, property management and client accounting. The business recently launched Street Cortex, an AI platform designed to automate administrative tasks for agents.

The company supports estate and letting agency branches across the UK. Earlier this year, it announced a strategic investment from software investor Hg, valuing the business at more than £200m.

Tom Staff commented: “To be recognised alongside so many exceptional founders building businesses across the UK is a real honour.

“What makes this particularly rewarding is that it reflects the work of the entire Street Group. We’ve always believed that estate agency deserves technology that’s every bit as innovative as any other sector, and we’ve spent the last decade focused on building products that genuinely change how agencies operate.

“PropTech is evolving incredibly quickly and we’re excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, ensuring that our agent base remains the choice of vendors, buyers, landlords and tenants across the UK market.”

Heather Staff added: “The property industry has often been seen as slower to adopt new technology than other sectors, but that is changing rapidly.

“We’re proud that Street Group has been recognised as part of that wider innovation story, and we’ll continue investing in products that help agents operate more efficiently, deliver better client experiences and embrace the opportunities that new technologies create.”
