Michael Day, managing director of Integra Property Services, is taking part in this year’s London Bridges Wellness Walk in support of Diabetes UK.
Day has lived with Type 1 diabetes for more than 35 years. The condition contributed to him undergoing triple heart bypass surgery in 2021, and he has since taken part in a series of fundraising challenges to support the charity.
Over the past three years, he has raised more than £8,000, with support from across the property industry, through two One Million Step Challenges, several London Bridges Wellness Walks and a Christmas single released in 2025, with proceeds shared between Diabetes UK and The Propertymark Trust.
He has also recorded a new Christmas single, It’s Not the Same for Everyone on Christmas Day, which is due to be released on 14 November to raise further funds.
The London Bridges Wellness Walk is a 10-mile fundraising event that starts in Battersea Park and finishes near Tower Bridge, crossing several of London’s best-known bridges.
Funds raised will support Diabetes UK’s work in research, patient support and improving the lives of people living with diabetes.
Those wishing to support Day’s fundraising campaign, or take part in the walk themselves, can donate through his Diabetes UK fundraising page.
