Free webinar to discuss the outlook for the lettings industry

Peter Knight

Peter Knight, founder of the Property Academy and the EA Masters, will discuss the current outlook for the lettings industry in a live webinar hosted by Goodlord later this week.

The free event, taking place at 9.30am on Thursday 28th October, will see Knight join Goodlord’s Director of Insurance, Oli Sherlock, to discuss how letting agents can address the key concerns and priorities for the coming year as identified in Goodlord and Vouch’s State of the Lettings Industry Report, to which Knight was a contributor.

Lack of stock will be one of the main topics of discussion in the webinar, with 32% of letting agents identifying it as a concern, along with legislation and compliance.

Knight will also touch on the changing sentiment in the lettings industry.

While optimism from agents remains high year-on-year, the industry is showing some signs of heightened caution following 18 months of uncertainty. A large majority – 67% – of respondents said they felt either “very optimistic” or “somewhat optimistic” about the future of the lettings industry, down from 80% last year.

Oli Sherlock said:

“Our State of the Lettings Industry Series has been an incredible opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities lettings agents are currently facing. I am looking forward to our final instalment with Peter Knight, who will share his insights on what the best letting agents are doing to combat challenges and make the most of opportunities in the current landscape.”

How tedious. A supplier of services would like to tell their customers what the future looks like … with them in it. No thank you.

It wasn’t long ago when staff at Goodlord were threatening strike action. According to them, the future didn’t look quite as rosy as the sales pitch that is being peddled to us.
