EXCLUSIVE: 2020 EA Masters will be ‘an estate agency event on a scale never before seen in this country’

EYE can exclusively reveal that the 2020 EA Masters will be an estate agency event on a scale never seen before in this country.

Comprising 40 speaker sessions, over 28 hours of content will be delivered on October 8th with delegates being able to access all the sessions over the following 7 days.

In addition, the Best Estate Agency Guide Awards will be announced following the fourth annual assessment of over 90% of all UK estate agencies.

The theme for the event is “The Next Normal” and the conference sessions will be delivered by 14 of the Property Academy’s world class business speakers, industry and business professionals from the UK plus four leading international agents.

Peter Knight from the Property Academy explained:

“We had three options – cancel the event, put something on via Zoom or YouTube, or to really go for it.

“We’ve chosen the third option and will be filming from three different studios, each with three camera crews, vision mixers and graphic designers and using a platform that will enable lots of interaction between exhibitors and delegates.

“We’re investing far more in the production of this digital event than we ever have in a physical event.”

Session highlights include insights from the Property Academy’s ‘Home Moving Trends’ surveys which were carried out two weeks ago with 32,058 sellers, landlords, tenants and buyers taking part.

This enormous piece of research is being analysed by Dataloft who will present the findings and key insights as to what people are really wanting from their estate agent, how big an issue fees are and why they chose one agent over the others.

Supplier review site, Kerfuffle, will present the “Top 20 must see innovations, products and services” for estate agents to consider for the next normal. These include a mix of PropTech and more traditional services that have been reinvented.

Behavioural economist Roger Martin-Fagg, who called the V recovery in March, four months ahead of the Chief Economist from the Bank of England, (Roger also forecast the last three general elections and Trump victory, months before, as he has the last two recessions), will give his latest opinion on the outlook for 2021.

Rightmove are the Principal Partners for the event and will also be sharing their latest insights on market trends and changes in consumer behaviour.

Peter Knight added:

“With all the challenges, issues and changes agents have faced this year and knowing just how much innovation and new product/service development has taken place during this period we are very excited to put on an event like no other before.

“Last year, 2,000 people attended, 1,200 in person and 800 online.

“This year we’ve reduced the ticket price down from £299 to under £50 (based on the best value ‘earliest bird’ rate of £49.75pp when buying 4 logins) which is incredibly good value for the quality of the 28 hours of content and we expect that the best agents from across the country will attend.”

Tickets have gone on sale today and the earliest bird rate expires in 17 days on 28th August – you can get them here https://www.eamasters.co.uk/tickets/

the Best Estate Agency Guide Awards is about replying to an email within 5  minutes despite an agent selling nothing and with a large market share due to over pricing and cheap as chips (non profits) fees

Obviously a shame circumstances haven’t allowed us to get together but having gone through the plans with Peter and the Academy team I’m very excited as to how they’ve stepped up to the plate.

Under £50 to see the great and talented speakers on the list and then me as only a slight drag factor or as Peter sold it to me ‘The Drinks Break’ is amazing value.

    looking forwards to it

Sorry, no time for this back-slapping, rewards for cash virtual bash – toooooooo busy working.

How many leaches are attached to our industry?

”The Best Waste of Time Award” goes tooooooooo –

Create nothing, sell it as something, and then make it virtual?

    Laughable – NOT

Agree – I cannot think of anything I would want to do less.

      Load of back slapping rubbish.

As for hearing a load of sales pitches for another load of new products I just cannot be bothered.  I am not paying for someone to give me a sales pitch.

I do wonder – If you can’t say something nice why say anything at all?

I guess the article is more of a promotional notice of an upcoming event, hence not attracted much comment but I just feel with people putting so much effort in to endeavouring to raise the bar in estate agency and whatever other personal reason give them some credit at a time when social media produces so much negativity from keyboard warriors hiding behind pseudonyms that generally don’t give back or share with the industry that puts bread on the table for them and their families.

Peter has made it his life over the last 2 and a half decades to learn from others from around the world and bundle his experiences and contacts to share with those working in EA and I see no reason for what would appear to be cynical comments but only applaud him for his contribution to agents and those in the industry that appreciate it.

This looks his biggest challenge yet so all I can add is, support him.

      Chris,

      Sorry my friend.

It is a forum anyone is entitled to express an opinion.

I do not see what this does to raise the bar – to me that is done by individual company owners/directors not a conference.

No offence but it is just not for me and I see no value it.

If others do that is fine I have no issue they are entitled to their point of view.

Agreed about anyone entitled to their opinion but felt it negative when people put a lot of effort into bringing this to you and so many have had so much from these events in the past
