Former Connells national MD joins independent agency to drive expansion

Former Connells Group national managing director Giles Hart has joined Minors & Brady as growth director.
Hart brings more than 26 years of property industry experience to the East of England estate agency. During his career with Connells Group, he held responsibility for around 1,000 branches nationwide.
His appointment comes as Minors & Brady targets further expansion across its sales, lettings and mortgage operations.
Hart will work alongside co-founders Jamie Minors and Alex Brady and the wider leadership team. His remit will include operational performance, systems and processes, as well as staff training and development.
He will also help identify additional services as the agency looks to expand its wider offering.
Jamie Minors, co-founder, said: “Giles comes with an exceptional track record for delivering proven performance, leadership and profits. I have the utmost respect for what he has achieved at the Connells Group, and I am excited to see the value he brings to Minors & Brady.”
Alex Brady, co-founder, added: “I’m delighted to have the chance to work closely with Giles. His track record in the industry is second to none, and I’m sure his experience will help elevate the Minors & Brady brand, to even higher levels whilst still delivering a first class service with our customers at the ‘Hart’ of what we do.”
Hart said: “Having met with Jamie and Alex this is an exciting time to support Minors & Brady and their likeminded team on their journey for growth. The ambition to build on the company’s strong platform for supporting customers property needs across Norfolk and Suffolk, while continuing to develop a high-performance culture is particularly appealing to me.
“I believe that sustainable growth comes from combining clear commercial focus with great people, strong leadership, and an unwavering commitment to customer service. I’m looking forward to contributing to that journey and helping Minors & Brady realise its ambitions for the future.”
Minors & Brady operates across Norfolk and Suffolk. The agency said it plans to expand its sales, lettings, mortgage and other services.
As part of those plans, the business is also recruiting across several departments.
Former Foxtons sales director leaves corporate agency for eXp

Former Foxtons City & East sales director Jamie Salisbury has joined eXp UK as a self-employed estate agent after leaving the London agency.
Salisbury was responsible for Foxtons’ sales operation across 12 London offices before making the move into self-employment.
He has partnered with former Foxtons sales manager Hussain Qazalbash, with the pair initially focusing on Borehamwood, Radlett, Elstree and Shenley.
They plan to expand their geographical coverage further when Salisbury’s non-compete restrictions end in January.
The move marks a significant change for Salisbury following a long career in corporate estate agency and comes amid continued growth in self-employed and personal agent models across the sector.
Rather than continuing to manage a large branch network, Salisbury said he wanted to return to frontline agency while building his own business.
He commented: “After years in corporate estate agency, including leading Foxtons’ City & East sales operation of 12 London offices, I felt the time was right to back myself and build something of my own.
“Hussain Qazalbash and I have known and worked with each other for years at Foxtons, and we share the same standards, work ethic and belief about what great estate agency should look like.
“We both love the front line of the business, winning instructions, selling homes and working directly with movers, and partnering together means we can combine our experience while building something that is genuinely ours.
“The eXp model gives us the infrastructure, support, camaraderie and national freedom to do that, while also giving us the opportunity, in time, to build a team of like-minded, professional self-employed agents around us.
“The response since launching has exceeded our expectations and reinforced our belief that there is a real opportunity for experienced agents to combine the service, expertise and accountability of a personal agent with the infrastructure and reach of a larger national network.”
