Senior Savills director leaves after 21 years to join Moveli
A senior Savills director has left the business after 21 years to join self-employed brokerage Moveli.
David Johnston has joined Moveli following more than two decades at Savills in Sevenoaks, where he was a director in the country sales team.
Johnston has more than 23 years of estate agency experience and has spent much of his career operating in the Sevenoaks market.
His move sees him leave the traditional agency model to establish his own business under the Moveli brand.
He joins as self-employed agency continues to increase its share of the UK residential market.
According to TwentyEA data supplied by Moveli, self-employed agents accounted for 2.5% of market share in 2026 to date. That represents an increase of 18.6% compared with 2025.
Moveli now has a network of more than 100 agents and focuses predominantly on the upper end of the residential market.

Landstones appoints former Draker figure as managing director
Landstones has appointed Mo Kanso as managing director as the South West London estate agency strengthens its management team.
Kanso brings experience across the residential property sector, including a previous role at Draker Lettings.
During his time with Draker, he helped develop the firm’s lettings department and was involved in opening several new offices.
At Landstones, Kanso will focus on developing the agency’s presence across its core markets.
He highlighted SW6 as a particular area of focus.
Kanso said: “SW6 is an important market for us and one in which Landstones has always performed strongly.”
Norton Rose Fulbright hires new real estate partner
Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed Simon Woodcock as a partner in its London-based business.
Woodcock joins the global law firm from Goodwin Procter, where his work covered a range of transactional real estate matters.
His experience includes direct and indirect investment, development, asset management and landlord and tenant matters.
Woodcock has worked across several property sectors. These include offices, retail, purpose-built student accommodation, private rented housing and industrial property.
He has also advised investors, developers, asset and fund managers, and financial institutions on UK and pan-European transactions.
The appointment forms part of Norton Rose Fulbright’s continued investment in its real estate practice.
