iad UK has expanded into Scotland after around 40 self-employed estate agents joined its network, marking the company’s first significant presence north of the border.

The agents, led by Stephen Pye, have moved from Keller Williams Scotland and will operate across Glasgow, Edinburgh and a number of regional markets.

The expansion follows iad UK’s acquisition of Avocado Property earlier this year and forms part of the company’s strategy to grow its network of self-employed estate agents across the UK.

The move significantly increases iad UK’s geographic coverage and broadens its presence in Scotland, while giving the incoming agents access to the company’s technology platform, training, marketing support and referral network.

The move also supports iad UK’s wider strategy to grow its national network of self-employed property professionals and offer a scalable alternative to the traditional estate agency model.

Pye said: “This is a positive and considered move for the agents involved. The focus has always been on what gives the team the best platform for the future, both operationally and commercially.

“iad UK offers a model that supports agent independence while providing the structure, tools, technology and network needed to help property businesses grow. That combination of entrepreneurship and infrastructure is a strong fit for the agents making this move.

“Our priority now is to support a smooth transition, provide operational continuity and help agents move forward with clarity, confidence and momentum as part of the iad UK network.”

Senior agent, Ev Foster, commented: “Our ethos has always been built around people, ambition and helping agents create businesses they are proud of. Keller Williams has played an important role in that journey and I have the greatest respect for the model, the people within it and the brilliant agent communities being built elsewhere across the UK.

“For me personally, this is also an opportunity to focus more fully on my coaching career and to help agents across Scotland and the rest of the UK to thrive. I care deeply about seeing estate agents build stronger businesses, grow in confidence and create careers they are proud of.

Lee O’Brien, MD of iad UK, added: “The team has helped build a strong, ambitious and highly respected community of property professionals in Scotland, and we are proud they have chosen iad for the next stage of their journey,” he said.

“The iad model gives estate agents the ability to build independent businesses with the backing of a proven network, powerful infrastructure and a collaborative community.

“This expansion is an important milestone in our UK growth strategy. Following the acquisition of Avocado earlier this year, establishing a significant presence in Scotland is another step in building a truly national network of entrepreneurial estate agents.

“As we continue to grow, our focus remains on giving agents the freedom to run their own businesses while benefiting from shared knowledge, technology, mentoring and the strength of an international network.”
