Propertymark has partnered with property data and intelligence platform Propalt to give estate agents access to free basic material information reports when they generate a referral through its Connect platform.
Propertymark Connect is a free member service that lets agents refer clients to other Propertymark professionals and receive leads, valuation requests and instructions. More than 2,000 agents are signed up to the platform.
Under the partnership, agents who send a referral through Connect will have access to a basic Propalt material information report.
The reports combine property information with local market data and can include details on property characteristics and construction, EPCs, planning, property history and other property and risk-related information.
They can also include local market performance and estimated property values, with the aim of providing agents with additional information when preparing for valuations, speaking to potential vendors or advising consumers about a property.
Kieran Slinger, co-founder of Propalt, said: “We built Propalt because the property industry has access to huge amounts of valuable data, but too often the information an agent needs is spread across different systems or takes too long to find.
“Partnering with Propertymark Connect gives agents a much simpler way to put that intelligence to work at the point it matters.
“We’re particularly pleased to offer basic material information reports to agents who generate referrals through Connect. It means the referral itself can lead to a tangible benefit for the agent, while giving them useful information they can take into their conversations with buyers and sellers.”
Jason Lee, head of commercial at Propertymark, said: “Propertymark Connect is about helping our members create and retain more business through a trusted professional network.
“Our partnership with Propalt adds another layer of value. Agents can generate and receive referrals through Connect while accessing property intelligence that can help them demonstrate their expertise and deliver a better service to consumers.”
