ARLA announces Alastair Campbell as keynote conference speaker

ARLA has announced former Tony Blair aide Alastair Campbell as the keynote speaker for its 2015 conference.

Controversial Campbell was Blair’s director of communications and strategy and now offers his services as a motivational speaker on winning.

He is, he admits, not cheap, but “towards the top of the fee scale for paid public speaking engagements”.

The ARLA conference is on March 31, some five weeks before the general election.

Whose getting the bung?We know whose paying it. Perhaps boycotting the event would speak better than this tw-t.

Totally agree with last comment. Another washed-out, has-been, foul-mouthed ex-so-called-adviser and champagne-socialist from a totally discredited ex-prime minister and government. What the h**l are my ARLA fees going to this sad sack for??? I think we need an ANSWER.

Waste of money, I wouldn't go and listen to this guy, period. After all he is one of the kingpins that manipulated lying to "spin" so that it was more acceptable. ARLA have really gone down in my opinion for even entertaining him.

Perfect match for ARLA, a spin doctor who has no idea what he is doing and does not really have a vocation.

I will echo everybody else comments a pathetic organisation with no real use or purpose. The same can be said for Alastair Campbell!

Maybe Arla have a good reason for splashing out a small fortune on this man and his words, but I can't think what it could be. Given that every year Arla claims the event has been a sell-out, and I've no reason to doubt that, why do we need this? If it's just a gimmick, it must be a damned expensive one!
