Agent to stand as Green candidate in general election

Property buying agent James Greenwood has been selected to stand for the Green party at the next election.

He will be a candidate in the Forest of Dean constituency.

Greenwood is a long-standing Green activist and is currently chair of the Forest of Dean Green Party.

He said: “I am looking forward to giving the other candidates a real run for their money.

“Politics for me is about policies – ideas that can change and shift people’s way of thinking.

“I am not expecting a revolution because I think the revolution is around us: climate change, peak resources, shared resources, meaningful and sustainable jobs are at the centre of the political debate.

“The Green Party are the ones with the ideas.”

Greenwood stood in the last election in the same constituency, coming last with 923 votes. The constituency is currently Conservative, held by Mark Harper.

In a previous life Greenwood, who runs property search and acquisition business Stacks, worked as a banker in London and rode round the world on horseback.
