Zoopla urges agents to use data tool to switch from Jupix to Alto

Zoopla is encouraging agents to take advantage of its new data migration tool that allows Jupix customers to upgrade to Alto, the cloud-based software for the industry.

The property portal says that the tooling, which has just completed a pilot stage and was available exclusively to Jupix customers who upgrade their software to Alto, will enable an end to end migration in three weeks.

Zoopla says that the new experience will save time for agents, but will also lead to a smoother transition for those who decide to change their software

As part of this new tooling, certain datasets can now be migrated to Alto automatically – instead of manually and will save agents 27hrs on average, and reduce the chance of administrative error.

So far 13 Jupix customers have migrated to Alto during the pilot, with the data migration taking less than 24hrs (from the date that the customer has selected to begin their migration) and customers benefiting from on demand training on Alto throughout the migration experience on everything from marketing properties in a fast efficient way to detailed client accounting.

As part of the migration experience, several additional datasets including the date rent is due and the amount to be charged, alongside management fee percentages will be migrated automatically – removing the need for a large amount of manual data entry. This is a unique benefit to Jupix customers and will be alongside existing datasets including property and contact records, property media (including photos, floorplans, EPCs or any documents linked to a property), transactional data (offers, agreed offers, viewings and valuations) which are already transferred automatically.

Following the successful pilot, the migration experience is now available to all Jupix customers.

Simon Woodward, director of product at Zoopla, said: “Alto benefits from new integrations, improved functionality and a more practical design and navigation. With its seamless and speedy migration experience, upgrading to Alto is the obvious choice for Jupix customers. This will not only save agents more time when it comes to moving software, but will also significantly reduce the stress and administrative burden associated with it.”

How time flies! A lot of years ago, just ahead of the attack on WTC I was preparing for Property Computer Show in London, my first as sales director. At that particular event Sameer from Park Lane wanted to know  when CFP were going to be ‘in the cloud like ASP’. (we’d only just began to get the  access version stable and solid)

We came back from the show and I asked the question and set in motion the events that have ended up as Alto- 12 years ago I was at Jupix helping Oliver and Tom build the system that agents were migrating to, from PSG

21 years, 17 longer than Richard L anticipated it seems like they’re ready for you now Sammy

What data can’t be transferred automatically, and is there any data that can’t be migrated at all?
