Tributes following death of Belvoir’s franchise director

Tributes have been paid to well-respected industry figure Ian Maclean after he passed away following a lengthy battle with illness.

He became a valued member of the Belvoir family in 2007 as a business mentor, and in 2016 he took on the role of franchise director.

Throughout his time with Belvoir, Maclean’s unwavering dedication to the success and growth of the franchise network was evident in everything he did.

The Property Franchise Group (TPFG) say he worked tirelessly to ensure that every franchisee was equipped with the resources, guidance, and support they needed to thrive. However, the company add that he was more than just a mentor and leader – he was a source of inspiration and genuine care for all who had the privilege of working with him.

Maclean’s kindness, warmth, and steadfast support will never be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to resonate within the Belvoir family for years to come, according to Gareth Samples, chief executive officer at TPFG, who says that the firm’s thoughts are with Maclean’s family, friends, and all who were touched by his remarkable life.

He added: “We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Ian Maclean, Franchise Director, following a long-term illness. Ian was a highly valued and respected member of our team with a strong dedication to the Belvoir Group franchise network over the past 17 years. Our thoughts are with Ian’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.”

Dorian Gonsalves, previous CEO of Belvoir Group, commented: “I had the privilege of spending time with this great man during the period of his illness. His infectious positivity and kind-heartedness made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Ian was a colleague and a friend. We will miss him deeply. Our thoughts and prayers go to his wife, Angela, his son and daughter, Euan and Abbie.”
