Connells Group has just announced key leadership changes, with Ian Fry, Giles Hart, Anthony Glasgow, and Stuart Dare departing the company with immediate effect.
Members of staff across the business have just been told the news, with Chris Rosindale stepping into the role of chief operating officer of estate agency, joining the executive board.
Additionally, Marc Lightfoot becomes the group mortgage services director, taking on leadership of the mortgage division. Ian Culbert will continue to lead Connells Groups’ lettings business.
Ian Fry, who joined Connells Group in 1996, served as chief executive of estate agency.

Giles Hart, a respected figure in the industry for over 25 years, was until lunch time today national managing director of estate agency.
Anthony Glasgow, chief operating officer of estate agency, has been with Connells Group for over 36 years and before that, Royal Sun Alliance.
Stuart Dare, managing director of mortgage services, has played an important role in developing the group’s mortgage division over the last 20 years.
It is not yet known why the quartet have suddenly left the business.

Helen Charlesworth, CEO of Connells Group, said: “Ian, Giles, Anthony, and Stuart have all made exceptional contributions to Connells Group, and their leadership has played a pivotal role in shaping our business into the successful company it is today. I am grateful for their years of dedication, hard work, and commitment and wish them the very best in their future endeavours.”
Charlesworth added, “I am delighted to announce that Chris Rosindale will step into the role of chief operating officer of estate agency, joining the executive board. With nearly 10 years at Connells Group and over 16 years in the estate agency sector, Chris is well-equipped to lead the business into its next phase of growth.”
Well this will either be a master stroke by Helen Charlesworth or as I suspect Connells Group will be looking for a new CEO in Qtr 4 – Anyone left – don’t admit you liked/even knew Plummy – you’ll be out of a job!!

Connells has seen a whirlwind of leadership changes at the top since Stuart Haire took over at Skipton.
With both David’s gone, it now looks like all their team are being pushed out one by one ! Interesting times with big changes on the way I would expect.

As soon as Shippo
Left and Livesy appointed all his sequence mates it was doomed for disaster
classic example here of senior exec in Ivory Towers making decisions based on who they like having a pint with (or not) as opposed to the real talent in the business
Comnell when it was 130 branches made more money than the whole group as it is today and the only thing fundamentally that has changed is the people
So long-although I’m sure they will all crop up together somewhere else in some other swamp

Maybe the new CEO doesn’t see value in these long termers. Experience is important but are they bringing new ideas and improving the business or do they still drum the same methods that worked for them in the 90s!

Try telling that to those in Countrywide when Platt thought the same and the share price went from over £6 to less than 10p!!!
A lot of very good people lost a lot of share option savings that they had built up over 20+ years.
Estate agency hasn’t fundamentally changed since the 90s, what worked then works now.
Over complicating it and pretending that it has is where people end up in trouble.

Congratulations to Chris Rosindale, having worked with Chris over my career I can see why they made this appointment. A true estate agent that puts people at the heart of everything he does!

Putting Chris in that role is a stroke of genius by Helen Charlesworth. He’s held in high regard from his time at Sequence. The guy is incredible. Let’s all hope though that it’s not just a load of jobs for the boys with Weedon, Jenner and Pitt joining the board.
