‘The most hair-raising two minutes in estate agency history’

The virtual waste bin at Property Industry Eye is littered with press releases that purported to be amusing but left us wondering if we had missed the bit that was funny. But every now and then a little gem comes along that is daftly entertaining and very well produced. This is one them.

A trio of industry partners have united to create what’s been described [by them] as the most hair-raising two minutes in estate agency history. [It’s actually nearly four minutes but we won’t quibble…]

Chris Watkin, Jerry Lyons, and the Property Video Solutions (PVS) team joined forces to pay homage to the classic movie Ghostbusters.

Their take on the 80s classic is called Ghostwriters and features Watkin and Lyons running around Grantham in an attempt to rid the home of Margaret Thatcher of ghouls, ghosts and phantoms.

Watkin said: “We wanted to highlight how ghostwriters can exorcise a lot of the scarily bad content some agencies put out there.”

Lyons added: “It was nice to swap a tracksuit for a jumpsuit and play with that laser thingy.”

Matt Lee and Chris England of PVS chipped in with: “Filming and directing two middle-aged men attempting to recapture their youth while leaving a trail of baffled members of the public has been one of our most challenging yet enjoyable projects to date.”

There are cameo roles for a number of industry figures including, Kristjan Byfield, Simon Whale, Glynis Frew and a host of others.

Is it a trick or treat? You decide.

What can be said about this……other than very well done chaps.  Always a fun time being around you folks and that must be where the creative genius comes from.  Top job!
