Rightmove has announced a £350m share buyback programme, with purchases currently available as the property portal steps up returns to shareholders.
The company said the buyback forms part of its capital allocation policy and is intended to return surplus cash to investors while reducing its share capital. All shares repurchased under the programme will be cancelled.
Rightmove expects to return more than £400m to shareholders by 31 July 2027, with around £330m of that total coming through share buybacks.
The programme has been approved under the authority granted by shareholders at the company’s 2026 AGM, allowing the repurchase of up to 76 million ordinary shares.
Peel Hunt and UBS have been appointed to carry out the purchases on Rightmove’s behalf. The company said it retains the right to suspend, amend or end the programme at any time.
Further announcements will be made as shares are repurchased in accordance with UK market regulations.
