No accounting for taste – how Marmite made it into this sales brochure

When the photographer arrived to take pictures of her house for a sales brochure, owner Lucy Strachan felt quite upset at the thought of selling up.

However, she and Savills photographer Sean Begley got chatting and he discovered that she had a collection of Marmite pots (strange but true).

To cheer her up, he put a pot in each room as he photographed the interiors, and challenged her to find them all.

The Marmite pots made it into the brochure – although some are quite hard to spot.

Savills has now entered fully into the spirit things with a game called JarFromAfar.

It challenges readers to find each jar. We did incredibly badly in this – blame our bad EYEsight – but Savills does helpfully provide the answers.

Famously, Marmite isn’t to everyone’s taste – but it seems to have done no harm here.

The house is now under offer.
