Leaders Romans snaps up two more firms in 24 hours – and stays on the acquisition trail

The Leaders Romans Group has continued with its expansion plans by completing two further acquisitions within 24 hours.

On Tuesday, the company acquired Penyards Property Management, a lettings and property management firm based in Winchester.

It was followed yesterday by the acquisition of Prescott Hall, a sales, lettings and property management specialist based in Chester.

Both sets of premises, Penyards Property Management and Prescott Hall, will close, with staff moving into nearby Leaders or Romans offices.

Penyards Property Management has been trading since 1988. Its portfolio of managed and rent collection properties, as well as all current staff and customers, have been absorbed by the existing Romans branch in Winchester.

In the case of Prescott Hall, all current properties and personnel will transfer to the Leaders office in central Chester.

Penyards Property Management is a well-established and entirely separate firm from the company Penyards, which was sold in a pre-pack administration last year, and then sold on again, and is now branded as Domum.

Matthew Light, group acquisitions director at the Leaders Romans Group, said: “We are delighted to have acquired two highly respected businesses in Winchester and Chester. Both Penyards and Prescott Hall have been operating for more than 15 years and are renowned as among the most successful property experts in their respective locations.

“It is also exciting to be able to welcome the landlords, sellers and staff associated with both companies to the Leaders Romans Group. We look forward to working with them and helping them achieve their aims in the property market.

“Most importantly, these acquisitions are further proof of our confidence in the industry across the UK and our determination to grow both in existing branch locations and brand new areas.

“We will continue to expand in the coming months and we are keen to talk to business owners who may be thinking about selling.”

The latest purchases come just a month after the group completed another double acquisition: HPM in Hayling Island and Clearmove in Fleet, Hampshire, with the former joining the Leaders branch network and the latter taking the Romans name.
