JDG Estate Agents has acquired Mighty House Sales and Lettings, marking its second acquisition in a matter of months as it expands across Lancaster and Morecambe.
The deal follows JDG’s purchase of Castle Properties in the summer. Both businesses are being integrated into the JDG brand.
Mighty House has operated as a high street sales and lettings agency for approximately 10 years, while Castle Properties specialised in residential lettings.
The two acquisitions have taken JDG’s managed lettings portfolio to more than 450 properties. The agency has also expanded its team to support the additional business.
John Gallagher, of JDG Estate Agents, told EYE: “Both businesses have built strong local relationships, and we’re delighted to welcome their clients and colleagues to JDG.
“As we grow, our priority remains the personal service, client care and local knowledge people expect when they trust us with a move or a property.”
Gallagher also indicated that further acquisitions could follow.
“We’ve been part of this community for more than 35 years. These acquisitions allow us to support even more people across Lancaster and Morecambe, backed by an experienced and growing team.
“I am looking to continue the expansion over the coming months and years.”
JDG has operated for more than 35 years and reports having helped over 9,000 households move during that period.
The agency has also received Gold recognition for sales and lettings at the EA Masters awards for seven consecutive years. It topped the Best Estate Agent Guide rankings for sales and lettings in 2022 and 2023.
The financial terms of the acquisitions have not been disclosed.
