Guildcrest Estates has acquired Thanet-based Frederick & Co Property Services, adding approximately 150 managed properties to its lettings portfolio.
The deal strengthens the independent estate agency’s property management business and extends its reach across Kent.
The acquisition forms part of Guildcrest’s wider expansion strategy. The agency also operates in residential sales, new homes and commercial property.
Emma, a member of the Frederick & Co team, will join Guildcrest Estates. She will continue working with her existing landlords and tenants to ensure continuity.
Sarah Huskstep, managing director of Guildcrest Estates, said: “This is an important acquisition for us and one that complements our existing business extremely well.
“Martyn has built a successful property management business with strong, long-standing client relationships, and it was important to both of us that those clients continue to receive the personal service they have come to expect.”
Martyn Stampe, of Frederick & Co Property Services, said finding the right buyer had been a priority.
He commented: “Guildcrest Estates shares our commitment to personal service while offering our clients the additional support, resources and expertise of a growing agency.”
Stampe said he was proud of the business and the relationships it had developed with landlords and tenants.
Guildcrest’s existing lettings team will manage the enlarged portfolio, supported by the agency’s property management systems and resources.
The agency forms part of the Guildcrest Group and operates across East Kent. The companies have not disclosed the financial terms of the acquisition.
