House prices jumping up – highest in 11 years

House prices jumped 4.3% in the three months to July this year.

It was the highest quarterly growth for 11 years, Hometrack said this morning.

Hometrack said that in cities, house price inflation has increased from 7.2% in April to 8.5% in July.

Leading cities as far as house price inflation goes are Bristol, Edinburgh and Southampton.

However, it said Liverpool remains 13.2% below peak.
