Hortons founder launches charity appeal in memory of his grandfather

In a tribute to his grandfather, Adam Horton, founder of Hortons, and his family have announced a collection of watercolour Christmas cards, featuring original artwork by the late Trevor Horton.

Trevor Horton found joy and inspiration through painting, a passion that he pursued throughout his life. Remarkably, the family has preserved artwork dating back to his early years, showcasing his talent from his early teens.

He battled with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) in the later years of his life. Despite this challenging health condition, Trevor Horton led an active lifestyle for most of his life. The year 2021 brought a turning point as his condition deteriorated, ultimately leading to his passing on New Year’s Day 2022.

In the aftermath of their grandfather’s passing, the Horton family discovered an extraordinary treasure trove of artwork. This impressive collection reflects the places he visited and people he knew throughout his eventful life.

Driven by a desire to honour his memory and contribute to a cause close to their hearts, the family has selected three of their favourite pieces, and in partnership with Hortons, the estate agency started by Trevor’s grandson, these stunning works of art have been transformed into a limited-edition Christmas card collection.

The cards are available in packs of 15, with proceeds supporting Asthma + Lung UK, a charity at the forefront of funding critical research into Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF).
