Historic estate agency brand grows through acquisition

CJ Hole has acquired Anne James Estate & Letting Agents, expanding its presence in Longwell Green and the wider East Bristol area.

The deal is CJ Hole’s seventh acquisition and takes its network to 11 offices.

Anne James, a locally established independent agency, will be rebranded under CJ Hole, which is now part of The Property Franchise Group.

The business will continue to operate from its Bath Road office in Longwell Green, with existing staff retained. The acquisition extends CJ Hole’s coverage across East Bristol, linking its Kingswood and Lyde Green branches and increasing reach into surrounding areas including Hanham, Oldland Common, Warmley, Bitton and Keynsham.

Chris Hill, managing director of CJ Hole, commented: “Anne James is a business with a fantastic reputation in its local community, built on strong relationships and a genuine commitment to its clients. That ethos aligns closely with our own approach at CJ Hole. We’re very pleased to welcome Anne James into our network and to continue serving the Longwell Green area with the same locally focused teams, now supported by the wider CJ Hole group.”

He added: “This acquisition reflects our continued investment across Bristol and our belief in combining strong local knowledge with the benefits of a wider network. Longwell Green is a key location for us, allowing us to better connect our existing offices while remaining firmly rooted in the communities we serve.”

Toby Phillips, group managing director of CJ Hole, said: “Anne James has built an outstanding reputation in East Bristol, and we are proud to bring that legacy into the CJ Hole network. Our focus remains on supporting strong local teams with the tools, marketing and infrastructure they need to deliver exceptional service, while retaining the personal, community-led approach that clients value.”
