Newton Fallowell’s Peterborough branch has changed hands after existing director Kieran Arthur bought out his business partner to take sole ownership of the franchise.
Arthur, who co-founded the office with Jason Treadwell in April 2022, has acquired full control of the sales and lettings business following more than four years of expansion.
Treadwell will continue to operate his other offices within the Newton Fallowell network.
The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Arthur joined the property industry as a trainee sales negotiator in 2015 and has since progressed to managing director.
He initially operated the Peterborough office alone before expanding the team as the business grew.
“Taking sole ownership gives me great pride. It represents the growth of the office to a point where this opportunity has become possible, as well as my own personal growth, from trainee sales negotiator in 2015 to Managing Director in 2026,” Arthur said.
“I have been fortunate to work alongside brilliant people in this industry who have supported my development and helped me reach this position.”
Further expansion planned
Arthur intends to expand the Peterborough business while retaining its existing team and operating model.
The ownership change will not affect the branch’s day-to-day operations, and no immediate changes to its services are planned.
“My key priority is continued growth, while maintaining the quality of service we provide to every client,” Arthur said.
“Over the last four and a half years, the office has grown substantially, and I have no desire for that growth to end.”
The agency plans to recruit additional staff as demand increases and extend its reach across the Peterborough property market.
The branch offers sellers zero-week agency contracts, allowing them to terminate agreements without serving notice.
Arthur said the arrangement was intended to make the agency accountable for its service.
“We provide an accountable service to our home sellers with a zero-week contract and no notice being required to terminate our agreements, meaning we must deliver the service we promise,” he said.
Franchise group welcomes ownership change
Ellie Hall, group managing director of Newton Fallowell, said Arthur had played a central role in developing the Peterborough office since its launch.
“Since 2022, he has played a pivotal role in its growth, developing a strong team and establishing a reputation for putting clients first,” she said.
“His move to sole ownership is a natural next step and reflects both his ambition and his belief in the future of the business.”
Arthur will continue to oversee the branch’s sales and lettings operations as sole owner and managing director.
