Nock Deighton has acquired rival estate agency Cobb Amos in an undisclosed deal.
The acquisition expands Nock Deighton’s presence across south Shropshire and Herefordshire.
Martin-Saunders Property Services operates Cobb Amos through four high street branches. They are located in Ludlow, Knighton, Leominster and Hereford.
The deal follows what advisers described as a period of “challenging conditions and increasing operational costs”.
PKF Smith Cooper brokered the transaction. The financial services firm said Cobb Amos’s management sought advice at an early stage. This ultimately led to the sale to Nock Deighton.
Nock Deighton already operates from several locations, including Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and Bridgnorth. The acquisition gives the agency a foothold in south Shropshire and Herefordshire.
Cobb Amos will retain its existing name following the deal. Its branch teams will also remain in place.
Nock Deighton said it would provide additional resources to the business while maintaining continuity for existing clients.

Law firm Higgs also advised on the transaction.
Neither party disclosed the value of the deal.
