High profile CEO recruited from City to head up Rummage4Property reveals departure

Former City analyst Anthony Codling is no longer CEO of property search company Rummage4Property.

His updated LinkedIn profile shows that he left the company founded by Robert May as an alternative to property portals in November – after a year.

Codling, who was managing director and housing market analyst at Jefferies bank for over six years, was the surprise appointment at Rummage at the end of 2018.

Before Jefferies, he was also housing market analyst at other City institutions, Oriel Securities, and JP Morgan Cazenove.

He is now CEO of an organisation called twindig.

We have approached both Codling and May for comment.

Oh dear! 4 years and still yet to launch it’s all falling down. At least their employee Mr Barker is spending time effectively on twitter obsessing over Purplebricks. Pure comedy gold.

Blimey, you’d have thought it would have been a purplebricks story to get DomPric* out from under his rock (a 5* rock of course).

Apparently he escaped from the Secure Unit yesterday evening, so he is off the meds, stalking his old territory, and should not be approached under any circumstances.

All of which is probably true but he does make a valid point. Seems rummage is going nowhere.

Rummage does seem to have been a little quiet – I wonder what they are planning…….

Know how to use twitter? It’s all on there for what I can see.

I think it was 1927 that May started talking about Rummage.

Dome “very clever’ people are showing they are not so clever after all investing time and money in what are now well documented start up failures. Seems Codling has realised this and taken an early bath. Getting wiser!

Would be good to hear what the future of rummage4 is. If Robert has decided not to move forward/develop further, that’s fine.

Proptech moves on and perhaps Robert feels the arena is filled with conflicting products?

I don’t know…. however I remain a supporter of people like Robert, who have Our Industry at heart.

      Could not agree more.

We all know Codling is multi faceted even more so than Big Ben which only has 4 faces.

      All the best Robert
