Hamptons raises over £9,000 for Cancer Research UK

Employees from Hamptons took part in two charity events last month in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

The Cancer Research UK Summer Run and a Hamptons Charity Golf Cup raised £9,378.00 for Cancer Research UK.

On Sunday 5th September 5 motivated Hamptons employees trained hard to complete the Cancer Research UK Summer 10k Run, starting in Trafalgar Square and crossing the finish line on Downing Street.

Runners from the business included, William Aspinall, senior lettings negotiator at Hamptons in Notting Hill, Ines Riou, residential sales consultant at Hamptons in Pimlico, Harriet Francis, senior head of lettings at Hamptons in Putney, Howard Bettridge, regional sales director, and Mark Wheeler,  prime country house sales director at Hamptons.

Following this, on Thursday 23rd September 65 aspiring champions took to the luscious fairways of Farleigh Golf Course for the 2021 Hamptons Charity Golf Cup.

This was Hamptons’ fourth Charity Golf Cup and was their most successful to date with a fantastic total of £8553.00 raised for Cancer Research UK; resulting in a total of £30,000.00 raised for the charity over all four events.

The day consisted of games and competitions for the players to engage in, followed by a BBQ dinner and a raffle all in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Lesley Cairns, managing director at Hamptons, said: “The Cancer Research UK Summer Run and the Hamptons Charity Golf Cup bought members of the Hamptons team together all in aid of one fantastic cause. Cancer Research UK is a charity that sits close to our hearts and we will continue to dedicate our time and support and look forward to further fundraisers in the future.”

Tom Dawson, fundraising manager at Cancer Research UK, commented: “It’s fantastic to see staff pulling together from across the company to make a difference. We know that one in two people born in the UK after 1960 will get cancer in their lifetime, Hamptons support brings us closer to our ambition of three in four people surviving their cancer for ten years or more by 2034. Your fundraising will save lives!”
