Estate agents swap cars for e-bikes to do viewings

Estate agents in Highgate, a leafy rural retreat in north London, have abandoned their cars and decided to adopt electric bikes to conduct their viewings.

Taylor Gibbs, an independent agency, is among a growing number of firms adopting more environmentally friendly mode of transport, with e-bikes their preferred choice of transportation.

Not only are the e-bikes more eco-friendly, but the negotiators using them hope to save time travelling to and from appointments on tight narrow roads that are often heavily congested.

The firm’s director, Zia Taylor, told the Ham & High: “We are all keen to be more eco-friendly and the move to use electric bikes to carry out our viewings was welcomed by all the staff at Taylor Gibbs.

“E-Bikes won’t entirely replace car trips, but it is safe to say they will reduce costs and the time staff take to commute to appointments, it is good business sense as well coupled with green benefits.”
