Entire network of agents closes down for staff training

The entire network of Peter Alan, one of the largest estate agents in Wales, closed yesterday afternoon.

All 26 branches closed at 2pm, with a notice on the website saying it was for staff training purposes.

A spokesperson for the firm, which is owned by Connells, told EYE that it was an annual update meeting that is held each January for Peter Alan managing director Andrew Barry to catch up with staff, update them on last year and share plans for this year.

The spokesperson said: “Customer expectations were managed (they have been communicated to and notices put up in branch windows for the past week) and staff went into the branches afterwards to pick up voicemails and continue any late appointments.

“Also, back office functions were still active via our head office so it was business as usual.”
