Spicerhaart hires new HR director 

Spicerhaart has appointed Sam McLoughlin as new HR director, who joins the form from Charterhouse Group where she was group human resources director.

McLoughlin, who has more than 20 years’ experience in HR within the manufacturing, engineering, government/military, IT and hospitality sectors, previously spent a decade working in newspaper ad sales.

She developed her drive to pursue a career in HR whilst working overseas with the British Army.

McLoughlin said: “I have worked at a senior level within HR for many years, but this is this is my first role within an estate agency group which brings a new and exciting challenge. I particularly admire the company’s work ethic and collaborative spirit.

“I will use my HR skills and experience to make a positive difference by developing a robust people agenda to support the future of Spicerhaart by driving change and devising and implementing scalable HR strategies as the company continues to grow.”

“My aim is for Spicerhaart to become the employer of choice, with a pipeline of candidates for the future,” she added.

The company’s CEO, Paul Smith, commented: “As we continue to expand across the UK, our need for a first-class specialist in HR has never been greater. We’re delighted to welcome Sam, who has a plethora of experience, and we know that she will bring fresh ideas and a laser-sharp approach to all that she does.”

 

The Charters Group appoints Phil Holden as chief financial officer

The Charters Group has announced the appointment of Phil Holden as Chief Financial Officer.

Holden has extensive experience leading finance departments across a number of sectors, including his own firm and a lengthy career as finance director at Arthur J. Gallagher, the global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting organisation.

Holden commented: ‘I’ve long respected the brand and watched with interest how it has grown over the years. I’ve now had the opportunity to visit all the branches in the Charters network and have been impressed with the teams’ energy, professionalism and dedication. It’s now time to look forward to the next chapter in Charters’ expansion strategy.”

Rob Mott, chairman of Charters, hopes that Holden’s financial and management expertise will bolster the company’s opportunities for growth.

New marketing manager joins the team at Bloor South Midlands

The team at Bloor South Midlands has expanded with the appointment of Rebecca Hlatywayo, as new marketing manager.

The 29-year-old lives in Northampton, not far from the housebuilder’s South Midlands office, based in Swan Valley.

She said: “I was really drawn to Bloor, because I believe in their brand values and I am looking forward to working alongside the team to bring even more people to know about what we do, and the quality of the homes we build.”

She continued: “I like the environment and I like the people. I feel at peace here and already so involved with everything happening around me. It’s been a steep learning curve but I’ve loved every second of it.”

Jack Costello, sales director for Bloor South Midlands, said: “She [Hlatywayo] brings enthusiasm and warmth with her, and we know she’ll have a great impact on our marketing.”
