Rogers Stewart expands with self-employed agent model
Rogers Stewart has expanded its coverage in Teesside with the launch of a self-employed ‘Personal Agent’ operation.
The LSL Estate Agency Franchising (LSLEAF) franchise partner has appointed former Rogers Stewart Stockton branch manager Steve McDonald to operate under the model.
McDonald will work as a self-employed agent across Norton, Wynyard, Billingham and Sedgefield. He will use the Reeds Rains brand, systems and marketing support.
He has more than 30 years of estate agency experience, including the past eight-and-a-half years with Reeds Rains.
McDonald said: “I felt it was the right time to do things a little differently and becoming a self-employed Personal Agent means that I will be the sole point of contact to deliver a personal and flexible service.
“Throughout the process, I will be on hand every step of the way for people selling their house. From initial market appraisals through to negotiation and completion, customers will have me to lean on for advice and expertise.
“Under the Personal Agent model, I don’t necessarily want to be the biggest local estate agent, but my goal is to be the one people recommend.”
Rogers Stewart, headed by Paul Rogers, operates eight Reeds Rains branches and one Your Move branch across the North East and Yorkshire.
Its Reeds Rains offices are in Middlesbrough, Stockton, Guisborough, Hull, Hull Newland, Scarborough, Bridlington and Durham. It also operates Your Move in Darlington.

Moveli expands South West network with Exeter agent
Moveli has expanded its South West network with the appointment of Exeter estate agent Emily Hall.
Hall has more than 14 years’ experience across property and sales, with much of her career spent in the Exeter market.
She has previously worked for Winkworth, Burgoynes and Martin & Co, covering Exeter and the wider Devon property market.
At Moveli, Hall will focus on residential sales across Exeter and surrounding areas.
