Goodlord and Reapit announce new software integration
The integration will allow customers of Reapit and Goodlord to create tenancies in Goodlord using the information they already have about properties, landlords, and tenants in Reapit. They can then sync this information back to Reapit when they’ve completed the pre-tenancy process, eliminating the need to manually duplicate data, saving time, and reducing the risk of error throughout the admin-heavy pre-tenancy process.
Paul Starkey, Reapit’s Chief Commercial Officer, commented:
“Reapit is delighted to have Goodlord as an App Partner in the Foundations App Marketplace. Agencies can utilise this integration to further customise their CRM software with a plug and play installation that enables an instant and effortless customisation of their core CRM software to the changing requirements of their business.”
SpareRoom acquires Roomgo
UK based flatshare site, SpareRoom, has today announced the acquisition of rival Roomgo (formerly Easyroommate) from Digital Ventures Group. The sale increases SpareRoom’s existing share in the UK and US markets and adds 18 new territories, creating the world’s largest roommate finding service.
The combined service will operate in 20 countries, in five languages and have just under 40 million global registered users.
“We’re excited to strengthen our position in the US and significantly add to 11+ million global registered users,” said SpareRoom’s founder and CEO, Rupert Hunt. “SpareRoom has long been the clear market leader in the UK. This acquisition gives us the platform to do the same in the US and beyond, and gives flatmates across the world the safe, simple and effective service we’re renowned for.”
SpareRoom was founded in the UK by Hunt in 2004, following the success of intoLondon (founded in 1999). The company launched in the US in 2011. Unusually for a high traffic tech company, SpareRoom remains privately owned with no external funders or shareholders.

New joiners at Guild of Property Professionals
In the last quarter, The Guild has had its highest number of new joiners on record after receiving over 100 applications from independent estate agencies.
Iain McKenzie, CEO of The Guild of Property Professionals, says: “Over the past quarter we received over 100 applications from prospective new Members, with 40 prospects selected to join the network.
“As we provide our Members with exclusivity in their area and have certain criteria that our Members need to uphold, not every application will result in a new Member. During lockdown we had a lot of interest from estate agents who wanted virtual tools and ways to cut down on the costs of running their agency.
“Since the market has reopened, the increased interest has continued as many agents recognise that The Guild would be able help them save money, make money, remain compliant and help them to become stronger in the current market.”
