Are you up to speed with changes in the Right to Rent scheme?

With the new Right to Rent rules only just announced and due to come into force within days, the team at Goodlord are hosting a free webinar tomorrow to discuss what agents need to do.

David Smith

David Smith, partner at JMW Solicitors LLP, will lead the discussion about the new Right to Rent processes set to be introduced for EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens in England from 30 June 2021 onwards.

With the latest guidance for the sector only released this month, there are a range of new rules agents must acquaint themselves with in a short space of time.

Smith will join Elise Page, customer success manager at Goodlord, to discuss the new process, how the changes will affect agents, and what agents must do to stay compliant.

This will include an overview of the new “View and Prove” online service, which tenants from the EU, EEA, and Switzerland must use to share their right to rent status with landlords and letting agents, and how to handle instances where tenants are unable to create online accounts.

The free webinar, designed to help letting agents navigate the new rules, will be streamed live at 9.30am tomorrow. Attendees can register by clicking here.

Page said: “With the government guidance coming at the last minute, we’ve heard from lots of agents who feel like they’re on the back foot and are seeking support with the changes to the right to rent rules.

“This webinar will provide a no-nonsense breakdown of what the new regulations mean for the sector and exactly what agents need to do to prepare.”
