Annual house price inflation stays at under 1% for 12 months in a row

House prices crept up to an average of £215,734 this month, Nationwide has reported.

The figure compares with £215,358 for October, and is just 0.8% ahead of average house prices in November last year.

Nationwide chief economist Robert Gardner said: “Annual house price growth remained below 1% for the 12th month in a row.

“The underlying pace of growth appears to have slowed as a result of weaker global growth and an intensification of Brexit uncertainty.”
