Agents offered new tool to screen vendors and viewers for coronavirus infection risk

A new screening bot has been launched to help agents check if prospective vendors or property viewers have coronavirus symptoms.

The tool aims to protect agents and their clients when dealing with appointments to ensure no-one is put at risk of infection.

The service, from chatbot operator Moneypenny, can be integrated with an agent’s online booking system or sent through email.

It asks users whether anyone is self-isolating in their home, if they have any Covid-19 symptoms, if they have come into contact with anyone who has or is suspected of having the virus or if they feel unwell.

There is of course nothing stopping a user lying or developing symptoms closer to the actual appointment.

Joanna Swash, chief executive of Moneypenny, said: “We’ve developed this tool specifically to offer extra reassurance and give confidence to the property market and because it seemed a very natural extension to the support we offer estate and letting agents.

“By using the bot, vendors and viewers will know that both parties are symptom-free before they come into contact with each other, and agents can rest assured that they’ve done as much as possible to protect their clients.”

This is a couple of standard questions we would all ask surely??

Nothing innovative here. Why would you pay and outside platform to ask 3 simple questions for you which are only reliable if someone is honest in any case…?…

……or as I call it ……looking up at the Sky if outside, or the extra functionality if indoors? ……looking out of the window.

It’s tiring watching companies looking to feed off Our Industry with “fluff”.
