Agent expands regional reach with acquisition of high street firm

Midlands firm Abode has expanded with a new acquisition.

Abode has bought and will now rebrand the business of Draycotts in Cheadle.

Draycotts was established only in 2015 but is said to have become well established in that time.

It was owned and run by local entrepreneur Paul Draycott.

Abode managing director Nathan Anderson-Dixon said: “Having taken the business forward Paul decided it was time to focus on other projects, which is when we stepped in.

“This strengthens our reach within Staffordshire and borders two of our most successful branches in Ashbourne and Uttoxeter.

“We have taken the decision to keep a local office in Cheadle, and will be introducing additional service such as full sales progression and virtual tours at no extra costs to our clients.”

Draycotts has offered vendors the option of paying £700 plus VAT upfront, or 1% no sale no fee.
