Three team members at East Sussex-based Oakfield Estate Agents are taking on the Brighton Triathlon to raise money for a local charity supporting children with cancer and their families.
Sales director Darren Middleton, lettings managing director Emma Hawkins and Eastbourne sales manager Josh Thompson will compete in the event on Sunday 6 September in aid of Children with Cancer Fund in Polegate.
The East Sussex charity provides practical, emotional and financial support to children undergoing cancer treatment and their families. Its work includes grants, respite breaks and days out.
The Oakfield team has been training ahead of the swimming, cycling and running challenge and documenting its preparations on social media as part of the fundraising effort.
Middleton said: “Taking on the Brighton Triathlon is our opportunity to give something back and support a charity that makes a genuine difference to local families during unimaginably difficult times.
“Children with Cancer Fund provides practical, emotional and financial support to children and their families when they need it most.
“Training has certainly had its moments, but we’re all looking forward to crossing that finish line knowing we’re raising money for such a worthwhile cause.”
Children with Cancer Fund has been supporting families across East Sussex for more than 30 years.
