Durden & Hunt is set to open its seventh branch, with a new office launching in Leigh-on-Sea next month.
The estate agency has invited local residents to attend an opening event on 11 July at its new premises on Broadway West, where the official ribbon-cutting will be carried out by the deputy mayor of Southend, Cllr Anne Jones.
The event will include refreshments, a charity raffle in support of Leigh Lionesses FC, and family activities, with local businesses also supporting the launch.
The Leigh-on-Sea office will cover sales and lettings across Leigh-on-Sea, Southend-on-Sea, Chalkwell, Rayleigh, Thorpe Bay, Hadleigh, Langdon Hills and surrounding areas.
Founder James Hunt said the opening reflects the company’s continued expansion across Essex and London. The agency has opened seven branches in seven years and now operates from offices across the two regions.
Hunt commented: “Opening a physical presence in Leigh-on-Sea was a natural step for us. Leigh-on-Sea is one of the most sought after seaside towns in the South East. With a vibrant seafront, charming old town and a thriving mix of independent boutiques, cafés and restaurants.
“Add in fast rail links into London and it’s easy to understand its enduring appeal for both commuters and families alike as it strikes that rare balance between character and convenience.”
Branch partner, Andy Binnington, who has worked in the local property market for more than three decades, will lead the Leigh-on-Sea operation.
The official opening will take place between 11am and 2pm on Saturday 11 July, with Cllr Jones scheduled to conduct the ribbon-cutting ceremony at midday.
Durden & Hunt’s new office is located at 123-125 Broadway West, Leigh-on-Sea.
