Plymouth independent estate agency Alan Cummings & Co has been acquired by Julian Marks Estate Agents.

With more than 16 staff and two offices, Julian Marks will retain the nine-strong team at Alan Cummings & Co as part of the deal.

Established in 1994, Alan Cummings & Co has traded for 27 years from its prominent position at Henders Corner in Mannamead.

Julian Marks Estate Agents is already active across the city, with the Plymstock office selling more properties over £200,000 than any other estate agency office throughout Plymouth.

The site at Henders Corner has been an important commercial location since around 1850, when horse trams used the junction as a terminus. An estate agency has been part of the small row of shops since the 1960s.
