They’re at it again (so to speak): This is one very cheeky agent

We have been amused to see how one agent has been promoting its handyman services on Twitter.

For example,  “Is someone under-performing in the DIY department? Do you need a helping handyman?”

Last week tweets included “Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and nothing says ‘I love you’ better than a good drilling”.

The cheeky theme is carried through to the Portico website – and certainly made us want to read on: “Whether you need a helping handyman in the bedroom putting up curtains, your kitchen needs a good seeing to, or you’re just tired of doing it yourself, we’ve got the man for the job!”

A spokesperson for Portico insisted that no one has been offended – yet.

She said: “People have been asking if our handymen are hunks, and even if they offered other … services.

“And lots of people have been ‘liking’ our naughty Tweets.”

Portico was in trouble with the London fire service which declined to endorse the agent’s “sexist” safety video

Nice to see Finbarr Saunders make a welcome return to British humour. Points to those who get the reference!

Long before Viz was ever thought of Max Miller was championing the cause of the ‘double entendre’. Brilliantly.
