Property industry consultant and speaker Toby Martin has launched The 24-Hour Open House, a live online fundraising event that will bring together property professionals for a continuous 24-hour broadcast in support of Breast Cancer Now and Andy’s Man Club.
The free event will run from 9am on Thursday 3 September until 9am on Friday 4 September, featuring 48 sessions scheduled every 30 minutes.
The programme will include training sessions, live podcast recordings, panel discussions, Q&A sessions and interactive entertainment, with additional content planned throughout the overnight hours.
Confirmed speakers include Phill Agnew, host of The Nudge podcast, who will discuss behavioural science and marketing; motivational speaker and author Nigel Risner; and Andy Barton, founder of Andy’s Man Club, who will speak about men’s mental health.
They will be joined by a number of property industry figures, including Kirsty Franks, Alex Tan, Stephen Brown, Chris Webb and Mal McCallion. Simon Whale is scheduled to appear during the overnight programme, while children’s author Libby Elliott, writing as Wendy Peterman, will host a bedtime story session.
The broadcast will also feature quiz and gameshow-style segments, with further speakers and sessions due to be announced ahead of the event.
The event aims to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now and Andy’s Man Club while bringing together property professionals from across the sector for a full day of learning, discussion and entertainment.
Martin said: “The property industry is brilliant at talking – so I thought, let’s see if we can do it for 24 hours straight. I’m delighted by the amazing people who said yes to taking part – it’s going to be part webinar, part telethon, and by 4am, probably part fever dream. But behind the talks, training, and silliness are two causes that matter enormously.
“Breast Cancer Now and Andy’s Man Club do life-changing and life-saving work, and if losing a night’s sleep helps raise money for them, it’s the easiest yes I’ve ever given. All I ask is that people register, tune in, and make a donation if they can.”
The event is sponsored by Kotini, whose support means that every penny raised goes to the two charities.
Kieran Witt, CEO at Kotini, commented: “When Toby told us he was planning to broadcast live for 24 hours straight, we wanted to get involved straight away. This is the property industry at its best – generous, a bit daft, and all pulling in the same direction. Breast Cancer Now and Andy’s Man Club are two hugely worthy causes, and we’re proud to be backing the event so that every pound raised goes straight to them.”
Registration is free and available here.
