Ordeal for estate agent as gang tries to force him to open safe

Police are hunting for a gang of three men wearing balaclavas and high visibility jackets who apparently tried to raid an agent last week.

The trio, armed with a hammer, baton and metal bar, entered Catlows, in Beeston, Leeds. They demanded a male member of staff open the safe.

West Yorkshire police said the victim fought back and the men fled empty handed. They are appealing for witnesses.

The man had to be treated in hospital for cuts and bruises
